No ones good at everything

So my sisters getting married and I, of course, offered to help her with the crafts part of it. She wanted to do these cute painted glasses. I have never done painted glass before but I figured how hard good it be. We got glass paint and I made the stencils. The paint went on so thin you could barely see it. So I had to do 4 coats. Each coat had to dry for an hour in-between them. So after waiting for 5 hours I finally took the stencil off to see the finished product. Well that paint came right off with the vinyl. Epic paint fail. We have decided to use just vinyl letters instead of trying to make this paint work.
